PEABODY, Mass. – Virginia Louise (Duperry) Parris, 56, of Peabody, Mass., died suddenly on her birthday at her home on Wednesday, July 27, 2005. She was the wife of Danny R. Parris with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. She was born in St. Francis, the daughter of Candace (Michaud) Duperry and the late Robert Duperry and was raised in Ashland. She was a graduate of Ashland High School and had been a resident of Peabody for the past 30 years. She was first employed as a home day care aid for the North Shore Catholic Charities for 20 years. For the past six years, she was a sales clerk at the J.C. Penney Department Store at the Northshore Mall. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and loved to read. She also loved helping children. She is survived by her husband of Peabody; her mother of Ashland; a daughter, Jennifer Parris of Peabody; five brothers, Robert Duperry of St. Francis, Michael Duperry of Presque Isle, Philip and Paul Duperry of Ashland, and Richard Duperry of Dudley, Mass.; a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Schaffer of Wilmington, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jacqueline and William Duperry. A visitation will be held 58 p.m. Friday at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody, Mass. Her Funeral will be held 9 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home followed by a Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
