ST. FRANCIS – Virginia M. (Michaud) Soucy, 62, wife of Delmont Soucy, died at her residence Jan. 23, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 29, 1941, in St. Francis, the daughter of Gillie and Rosalie (Thibodeau) Michaud. In addition to her husband of St. Francis, she is survived by seven children; Deborah Jandreau and her husband, Kenneth, of St. Francis, Elaine Hafford and her husband, Sheldon, of Fort Fairfield, Brian Soucy and his companion, Beatrice Gardner, of St. Francis, Dale Soucy and his wife, Linda, of Fort Kent, Mark Soucy and his wife, Erin, of Fort Kent, Joyce Soucy and her fianc_, Marcel Morin of Fort Fairfield, Chad Soucy of St. Francis; and one sister, Judy Labrek of Van Buren; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 11:30 a.m. Monday until time of departure for St. Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis, with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Spring burial will be held May 14, 2004, in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, St. Francis.
