CHESTER – Wade K. Davis Sr. 51, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007. He was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Lincoln, the son of Lowell “JR” and Addie I. (Nicholson) Davis Jr. Wade was a graduate of Schenck High School, Class of 1974. He worked at Great Northern Paper, East Millinocket, for 18 years, retiring in 1992. Wade’s hobbies were hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. A wide circle of friends will fondly remember camping and fishing trips with Wade. He was a generous man and a friend to all. Wade shared a loving marriage with his wife of 30 years, Barbara E. (Van Dine) Davis. They loved each other more and more with each passing year. In addition to his wife, Wade is survived by two children, to whom he was a loving father, Apryl Stanley and husband, Jared, and Wade K. Davis Jr. and wife, Elisha, all of Medway; two brothers, Barry Davis and wife, Nancy, of Medway and Duane Davis and wife, Pam, of Florida; three sisters, Lynda Crocker of Grindstone, Justine Spearin and husband, Terry, of Skowhegan and Gayleen Cummings and husband, Andy, of Howland; two grandchildren, David and Rebecca Stanley; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jared Kenton Davis. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Tri Town Baptist Church, 8 Cone St., East Millinocket, with Pastor Dave Chicoine officiating.
