BAILEYVILLE – Tanya Estelle Pressley, 33 year old daughter of Barbara and Jos? Lara of Calais and Joseph and Krista Pressley of Squirrels Point, Woodland, met with her dear Lord and Savior Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. Tanya was born April 14, 1974, in Calais. She graduated from Calais High School in 1992. During her younger years, Tanya was very much a competitor in dance and baton competitions. By the age of eight, she won more than 300 trophies and medals in state and national pageants. A few of the titles Tanya received were New England Model, United States Teen Talent Winner, Miss Maine U.S. Teen, National Teenager Talent Winner and many, many more. Tanya was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, “Pa” H. Milton Thornton in 2004; and her paternal grandparents, Clayton H. and Roselyn Marie Pressley. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two lovely children, Michaela Estelle Erskine, age 10 and her father, Michael Erskine and Hunter Dylan Costello, age 5 and his father, David Costello; her loving grandmother, Thelma (Ross) Thornton of Calais; her brother, Clayton Hollis Pressley of Baileyville; a niece, Jayda Pressley; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
