ORRINGTON and BANGOR Wallace C. Miller, 75, died Sept. 6, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 14, 1932, in Etna, the son of Charlie and Ruth (Parson) Miller. Wallace spent his early years living in Etna and Orrington. Upon graduating from high school, he went into the U.S. Air Force and served his country in the Pacific and South East Asia during the Vietnam War. After retiring, he went to work at St. Regis and Champion Paper Co., Bucksport. In addition to his parents; and a sister, Marie, Wallace was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Miller. Surviving are his three children; a daughter, Donna Shorey and husband, Thomas; a daughter, Susan Patterson and husband, Chuck; and a beloved son, George Miller and wife, Ronnie; grandchildren, Jason, Christina, Adam, Jeffery, Jessica and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Audrey, Emily and Moriah; four brothers, Gary, Charlie, Roger and Frank; and two sisters, Shirley and Carol. To all my friends, do not mourn for me because I am no longer in pain; the noise is gone. I enjoyed flying my champ, ice-fishing and hunting in the Allagash and Alaska. I love you all and I will live again, when you see the eagle fly, I will be with him. I go to meet my special friend, Elmer. Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, with the Rev. Clayton Blackstone, pastor of Advent Christian Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
