GARFIELD PLANTATION Dorothy F. Stevens, 86, died Sept. 5, 2007, at a Mars Hill health care facility. She was born July 9, 1921, in Portage, the daughter of David and Helen (Wilcox) Rattray. She attended Ashland Advent Christian Church. Dorothy had been a member of the Ashland Rebekah’s Lodge and Ashland Fish and Game. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed cooking bread, big band music, playing bingo and her player piano. She was predeceased by two husbands, Aubrey C. Campbell and David A. Stevens; a son, Aubrey Campbell; and a daughter, Julia Marie Campbell. Surviving her are daughters, Frances Wulff and her husband, Alan, of Castle Rock, Wash., Rose Mary Morris and her husband, Joseph, of Bainbridge, N.Y., Gretchen L. McFee and her husband, Mike, of Oxford, N.Y., Nonie Crouse and her husband, Calvin, of Blaine and Sharon L. Youney and her husband, Sam, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; sons, David A. Campbell of Ashland, Rill Stevens of Ashland, Duane Campbell of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Brian Stevens of Bainbridge, N.Y.; stepsons, David H. Stevens and his wife, Carolyn, of Bangor and Scott Steven of Ohio; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel McPherson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and a brother, Gerald Rattray and his wife, Lois, of Ashland. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ashland Cemetery with the Rev. William Good officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home.
