INDEPENDENCE, Mo. and MILLINOCKET – Wanita E. (Borrello) Delo, 67, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2005. Wanita was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Millinocket, to Joseph and Mary (Cesare) Borrello. She was very active in her local church in Missouri and her greatest passion in life was her love for the Lord. She was also very active as a volunteer for many different community service programs in her home town of Independence. Wanita is survived by her son, Skip Delo and his wife, Teresa, of Martinsburg, W. Va., and her daughter Dawn Delo of Independence, Mo.; grandchildren, Joshua Delo and his wife, Ji Eun and Melina Delo. Wanita is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Powers and her husband, Jim, of Medway and Jacqueline Ponders and her husband, Bill, of Wells. In addition, she is survived by many uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom are scattered around Maine and the country. Graveside interment will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, in Millinocket. A gathering of remembrance will be held immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice.
