OLD TOWN – Dona M. Myers, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at a Portland hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Woodland, daughter of the late Malcom L. and Dorothy R. (Sevigny) Bacon. Dona will be fondly remembered for her people skills as she touched so many lives as a homemaker, wife, mother, sister and friend. She would find any reason she could to hold a gathering or a barbecue. Dona attended Woodland schools and graduated form Woodland High School. She was an avid cribbage player and enjoyed fishing out of her “Grand Laker Canoe”. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Edwin E. Myers, of Old Town; son, Walter E. Myers; daughter, Vickie Hunter; two grandchildren, Jacob Myers and Amanda Hunter; stepgrandson, Scott Hunter; two brothers, Alden Bacon and Terry Bacon; four nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her uncle, “Wuzzy” Bacon. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
