BANGOR and DOVER-FOXCROFT – Wayne A. Perkins, 56, passed away Dec. 10, 2004, at his Bangor home with his family at his side. He was born Dec. 19, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Derward and Eileen (LaPointe) Perkins. Wayne was a 1966 graduate of Foxcroft Academy. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He graduated from E.M.V.T.I. in 1973 with a degree in electronics technology. Wayne worked as a businessman and bio-medical engineer in Saudi Arabia for 11 years. His last employer was Technology in Medicine of Mass. He is survived by his mother, Eileen (LaPointe) Perkins of Winter Haven, Fla.; three brothers, Randall Perkins and his wife, Diane, James Perkins, all of Bangor, Gary Perkins and his wife, Diana, of Bar Harbor; one sister, Sheila Anderson and her husband, Lee, of Winter Haven, Fla.; seven nieces and nephews, Frank, Michelle, Samantha, Gregory, Breana, Trey, and Isabella; his grandmother, Leona Crawford of Dover-Foxcroft; aunts and uncles, Larry and Diane LaPointe, Harold and Jeanne Smith, Dick and Evangeline Burnett, Randall Perkins, and many cousins. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, Dec. 14, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor with the Rev. Kevin Holsapple, Rector, officiating. Interment will be in Dover-Foxcroft.
