LIMESTONE – William E. Morrell Sr., 70, died Sept. 12, 2004, at his son’s Navarre, Fla. residence after a long illness. He was born at Limestone, Dec. 7, 1933, the son of Elmer and Margaret (Fitzsimmons) Morrell. A graduate of Limestone schools he served in the U.S. Army, before returning to Limestone. He worked until his retirement as a custodian and bus driver for the Limestone school system. He was a member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department for more than 40 years. For the past two years, William has lived with his son and daughter-in-law in Florida. He is survived by three sons, William Earl Morrell II and his wife, Lorraine, of Rome, Ga., Thomas E. Morrell and his wife, Jennifer, of Navarre, Fla., Scott A. Morrell of Hales Corner, Wis.; two brothers, Darrell Morrell and his wife, Pauline, of Decatur, Ga., Donald Morrell of Hampton, Conn.; four sisters, Thelma M. Mallows of Chatham, Mass., Betty Wells and her husband, Larry, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Carroll Morrell of Westfield, Conn., Joycelyn Whipple of Oxbow; three grandsons, William E. Morrell III, David T. Morrell and Christopher M. Morrell. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with Pastor Ellen Cleaves, officiating. Family and friends may call from noon until time of service. Interment will be at the Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
