MILLINOCKET and BANGOR Winifred E. “Winnie” Lozier, 83, passed away March 22, 2004, at a Brewer healthcare facility with her family by her side. She was born May 31, 1920, in Millinocket, the daughter of Edward and Della (Thayer) Albert. She was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1939, and a member of the Emblem Club for many years. She was an avid card player and enjoyed all her neighbors in Millinocket. After the death of her beloved husband, Rosaire, in 1991, she moved to Bangor to be with her daughters. She is survived by her three daughters, Suzanne Dow and Dixie Lee Lozier, both of Bangor, and Winnie J. Lozier of Gates, N.C.; two grandchildren, Cheryl Dow of Bangor, and William Dow and his wife, Wendy, of Windham; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Dow of Windham. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward “Buster” Albert Jr., in May of 2003. The photo shown above was the last picture taken of them together. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Spring burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
