MARLBOROUGH, Conn. – Winifred M. Duperry, 81, of Sachem Drive, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 14, 1925, in St. Francis, the daughter of the late Donat and Marie (Jandreau) Duperry. She lived in Marlborough for 11 years having formerly resided in East Hartford, Conn., for many years. Before her retirement, she was employed for 40 years by Alden Mfg. Co., Hartford, as a bookkeeper. Winifred enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader. She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jacqueline Duperry of Marlborough, Nathalie and Doug Thibodeau of Marlborough; many nieces and nephews; a special great-niece and great-nephew, Jenna and Sean Kiernan. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Charles Duperry, Bennett Duperry and Esther Charette. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St., East Hampton, Conn. The funeral procession will leave Spencer Funeral Home 9:30 a.m. Friday with a funeral liturgy 10 a.m. at St. John Fisher Church, 30 Jones Hollow Road, Marlborough, with the Rev. Arthur J. Audet, celebrant. Burial will be at Marlboro Cemetery. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions in Winifred’s name to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
