CARIBOU – Winona M. Bennett, 82, wife of the late Edwin Bennett, died Nov. 21, 2003, at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a long illness. She was born Nov. 7, 1920, at Caribou, the daughter of Albert and Edna (Johnson) McFee. Winona was a lifetime resident of Caribou and was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Stephen Bennett of Bowdoin; one sister, Geraldine Gallinari of Bridgton: six grandchildren, Kevin, Cheryl and Lisa Bennett, Stephen and Mathew Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Crystal and Lyndsey Bennett, Samson, Julia and Matthew Martin and Katie Sirois. Spring interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Winona, may do so through the Caribou Nursing Home Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
