JAMES H. WIGHT ELLSWORTH – James H. Wight, 75, died Sept. 25, 2008, in Hancock. He was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Eddington, the son of Elliott and Josephine (Hennessey) Wight. Jim attended schools in Eddington and graduated from Brewer High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Jim’s Glass Shop for 25 years, installing glass for many years in the Bangor and Ellsworth areas Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends at McDonald’s. He worked tirelessly on his blueberry land. He was a wonderful grandfather and loved playing basketball with his granddaughters. Jim loved to dance and would cut the rug with anyone who would join him! He is survived by his sons, Thomas James Wight of New Hampshire and Michael Wight and wife, Daisy, of Ellsworth; daughter, Maria Joanne Hall and husband, Charles, of Cherryfield; grandchildren, Kayla Hall, Mike, Sally, Sunny and Connor Wight and Nikia Wight; and a brother, Arthur Wight of Ellsworth. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Joanne Blanchard; and grandson, Herrick David Wight.
