EAST MILLINOCKET – Elizabeth R. “Betty” Dentremont, 77, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born March 22, 1931, in Old Town, the daughter of James and Marion M. (Chouinard) McPhee. Betty was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, East Millinocket. She enjoyed knitting as a pastime. Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Dentremont of East Millinocket; two children, Carl E. Dentremont of Dover-Foxcroft, and Lynn Estabrook and her husband, Jim, of Chatham, Mass.; three grandchildren, Scott and Holly Estabrook, and Adam Estabrook and his wife, Danielle; a great-grandson, Seth Estabrook; two sisters, Virginia Morin and her husband, Fred, and Ruth Morin and her husband, Francis Morin, all of East Millinocket; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence “Larry” McPhee and his wife, Dorothy. Friends are invited to visit with the family 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 58 Cedar St., East Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider.
