PLEASANT POINT – Pauline M. Neptune, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. Pauline was born Oct. 10, 1924, at Peter Dana Point, one of 17 children to the late Horace and Mary (Tomah) Lola. In 1984 she retired from Beatrice Rafferty School after many years as a cook. She enjoyed watching baseball, listening to country music, and spending time with her family and friends. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Noel Neptune; five children, Elaine Mitchell, Justin Lola, Allison Lola and his wife, Cindy, Lynn Smith and her husband, Ralph and Wilfred Neptune and his wife, Patricia; her “adoptive daughter,” Barbara Newell; two sisters, Estella Neptune and Theresa Downing; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her two loving caregivers; her daughter-in-law, Patricia; and her granddaughter, Traci Neptune. Visiting hours will be held beginning 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, until 10 a.m. Monday at her son Allison’s home, 44 Passamaquoddy Road, Pleasant Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at St. Ann R.C. Church, Pleasant Point, by Father Eugene Gaffey. Burial will be afterward at the Tribal Cemetery.
