MILLINOCKET – John C. Truelson passed away Oct. 4, 2008, losing his battle with cancer, at his home. John was born Dec. 15, 1937, the son of John C. Truelson Sr. and Helen M. (Anderson) Truelson. He was a veteran of the Navy and was a big Red Sox fan. He was predeceased by his entire family and there are no other living relatives. He left his close friends, Faye Calhoun, Jimmie Chandler, Brian Pinard, Carolyn Smith and Travis Kelly. He is also survived by his friends at bingo and American Legion Post No. 80. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Joel Cyr, presiding. Burial will be private in Massachusetts. Gifts in memory of John may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
