DEXTER – Priscilla C. Easler, 89, died Oct. 6, 2008, at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta. She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Chase) Cheney. Priscilla worked as a registered nurse at local hospitals and did private care nursing for many years. She was a long time member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dexter, and served in many capacities, including head deaconess and treasurer. She enjoyed spending Sabbath afternoons visiting with family and friends, and listening to many of her favorite hymns. A devoted wife and mother, she guided those around her with her actions, her love and her devotion to God. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Valerie and Robert MacDonald of Wiscasset; two stepsons and their wives, Dale and Jeanette Easler of Dexter and Wendall and Sarah Easler of Florida; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Elaine and James McDaniel of Florida and Betty and Gayland Bennett of Dexter; a brother and his wife, Pastor Reginial and Thelma Cheney of Rutland, Vt.; a sister, Reginia Cheney of Guilford; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Elmer J. Easler. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dexter, with Pastor Arnold Schnell officiating. Burial will be at South Sangerville Cemetery.
