FORT KENT – Jean Ann Wilbur, 59, died peacefully Oct. 10, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 15, 1949, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Lucien Sr. and Evangeline (Morin) Lozier. After 32 years of successful teaching in the Madawaska school system, Jean began her second career as a licensed real estate broker. She was past president of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Fort Kent for several years. She received Member of the Year Award while a member of BPW. Jean was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and watching “Dr. Phil” with her three coon cats, Ginger, Danielle and Ebony. She enjoyed traveling with her family, all throughout the U.S., parts of Paris and most of Canada. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Wayne of Fort Kent; two sons, Charlton of Somerville, Mass., and Anthony of Cambridge, Mass.; two brothers, Don and his wife, Ethel Lozier, of Connors, New Brunswick, and Lucien Jr. and his wife, Suzie Lozier, of Missouri; one sister, Claire Levensalor of Farmington; several nieces and nephews; two brother-in-laws, the Rev. Ronald and his wife, Lois, and Fernald and his wife, Jackie; and one sister-in-law, Rosie Wilbur. In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by one brother-in-law, Stanley. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Committal services will be after at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent.
