In Loving Memory LINCOLN – Lorraine (Pond) Langley Stubbs, 72, wife of 42 years to the late Blake A. Langley, and recently married for four years to Willard Stubbs of Millinocket, died unexpectedly Oct. 11, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital, after a long battle with poor health. She was born May 15, 1936, in Chester, the daughter of Maurice and Mattie Pond. She was married to the late Blake A. Langley, July 8, 1952, in Burlington, and remarried October 2004 to Willard Stubbs of Mattawamkeag. Along with her new husband, Willard, she is survived by sisters, Sheila (Pond) Day and Geraldine (Pond) Washburn; and brother, Dale Pond, all of Lincoln; her six children, Blake E. Langley of Glenburn, Greg M. Langley and wife, Sandra (Jipson) Langley, of Lincoln, daughter, Zenda Fiske of Lincoln, sons, Clayton B. Langley and wife, Judy (Faloon) Langley, of Florida, Troy A. Langley and wife, Laurie (Pelkey) Langley, of Lincoln and Shawn R. Langley and wife, Ingrid (Brown) Langley, of Dedham; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Lorraine spent her life dedicated to sharing the gospel with her songs and bright smile – everywhere she went. She shared the “story of love.” The seeds of friendship and the aroma of her love will linger with us forever. Do you smell it? Follow the petals of her life and it will lead you to your homeland. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at Community Evangel Temple, River Road, Lincoln. A service celebrating the coronation of this saint will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Community Evangel Temple with the Rev. Timothy Shaw officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
