RUBY GENEVA LEET MALISZEWSKI – CLINTON, Ark. – Ruby Geneva Leet Maliszewski died Oct. 6, 2008. She was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Greenville, to Victor and Maude Leet. She was a registered nurse, a dedicated patriot and an active community volunteer. Ruby fell in love with a sailor during World War II but both her own service in the cadet corps and his service overseas prevented them from being together. Finally on Sept. 28, 1946, Andy Joseph and Ruby were joined in marriage and shared 63 years of marriage. Together they had three children, Daniel Maliszewski, Christy Maliazewski and Marilee Maliazewski; seven grandchildren, Victor Abiseid, Tito Abiseid, Cira Abiseid, Caitlin Abiseid, Carolyn Maliszewski, Judy Maliszewski and Helen Maliszewski; and several great-grandchildren. Ruby is survived by her loving family and friends, while we are grieving our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; we are comforted by the memories of Ruby’s countless acts of goodness. She will be remembered by family and friends with tearful gratitude for having known her grace and kindness. In lieu of flowers, please send any memorials to the Van Buren County Hospice Program, 526 Quality Drive, Clinton, AR 72031.
