DORIS ‘DOTTIE’ ‘GAY’ E. TODD

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Doris E. Todd, 78, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2008. She was born in Caribou, daughter of Donovan and Bessie Todd. “Gay” lived most of her life in Hebron and Coventry, Conn. “Dottie” was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford, Conn., for more than 35 years. She had been residing in Zephyrhills, Fla. She loved all animals-domestic and wild, playing her guitar, Country Music and all sports. She spent many happy times at her camp on Big Boyd Lake, Orneville. Gay is survived by her brother, Donovan Todd Jr.; two sisters, Myrtle Stevens and Barbara Foster; many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends in Connecticut, Maine and Florida. A memorial service will be held soon in Zephyrhills, Fla., and another service will be held in Maine in summer 2009. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any animal welfare organization, Gulfside Regional Hospice, 37826 Sky Ridge Circle, Dade City, FL 33525 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
