MILLINOCKET – Ellen L. Cyr, wife of Paul Cyr, died Oct. 26, 2008, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born March 21, 1960, in Lincoln, the daughter of Edward “Honey” and Madeline (Albert) Barker. Ellen worked various jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed working construction and, more recently, for Bragdon Energy. She lived life to the fullest and loved snowsledding, hiking, camping, being at camp, barbecues with family and friends, and going on “rip rides.” Ellen also enjoyed cooking and decorating during the holidays. In addition to her husband, Paul of Millinocket, she is survived by a son, Louis “Matt” Cousins, of Dallas; siblings, Sharon Albert, Mary Jean Twist, Francine McQuinn, Carroll-Ann Armstrong and Danny Barker; special nephew, Jeff Albert and his family; several nieces and nephews, and many special, close friends. The family thanks Millinocket Regional Hospital and Katahdin Area Support Group for the care and support they provided for Ellen. A celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Graveside service will be after at Millinocket Cemetery and a luncheon will be held at the church after the graveside service.
