ELLEN REED

LINCOLN – Ellen Reed, 97, wife of the late Lawrence Reed, passed away Nov. 4, 2008, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Feb. 27, 1911, in Costigan, the daughter of Wallace and Abbie Soule. Mrs. Reed is survived by two sons, Lawrence Reed Jr. of Lincoln and Randolph Reed and his wife, Carol, of Naples, Fla.; two granddaughters, Barbara Richards and her husband, David, of Florida and Jean Burnham of Livermore Falls; a grandson, Elliott Reed of California; two great-grandsons, Michael and Brandon; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves dear friends, Cliff and Clara Cooke of Lincoln. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Leta and Richard St. Peter; a sister and two brothers. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
