OLD TOWN – Raymond C. Foster left this world Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008. Ray was born March 31, 1960, in Old Town, a son of Richard A. and Joyce (Mayo) Foster. He was loved and watched over by many. Ray never met a stranger, he considered everyone a friend. Ray is survived by a sister, Maggie Foster-Burnett of Chicago; two brothers, Christopher A. Foster of Union and Robert Ouellette of Arizona; a special niece, Jasmine N. Burnett and her daughter, Isabella, of Old Town; nephews, the Rev. Elijiah J. Burnett, Joshua Raymond Burnett and Andrew X. Trupia-Burnett, all of Mundelein, Ill.; a niece, Joey-Lynn Burnett of Waukegan, Ill.; many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many other brothers and sisters; an uncle, Edmond Libby of Milford; an aunt, Margaret Burgess of Bangor; and a very special lady and close friend, Nonie Tiddwell. He is also survived by two very dear friends, Beverly Melanson and Ken Thibodeau of Old Town; his extended Elks family at Old Town Elks Lodge; his special friends, Joann and family at Johnny’s Pizza and Tim’s Store, Louise Morin-Smith and all of his caregivers at OHI, and many others in and around Old Town. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Richard A. Foster and Joyce Mayo Foster; a brother, Jere Mountain; as well as several other brothers. Ray will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew him, as well as in the lives of those recipients who will live on through Raymond’s generous gift of life. A memorial service will be held in the spring at Old Town Elks Lodge. The family requests that all donations be made to Old Town High School Football Program, New England Organ Bank, Old Town Elks Christmas Program for Children or Opportunity Housing Inc. of Brewer.
