CLYNTON W. GRANT SR.

HARRINGTON – Clynton W. Grant Sr., 77, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 4, 2008, in Harrington. He was born March 10, 1931, the youngest child and only son of Hanford and Edith (Guptill) Grant. He graduated from Columbia Falls High School and proudly served as a U.S. Marine. After his discharge he lived for 30 years in New Jersey before moving back to Maine, where he bought property, became a business owner, had several other jobs and many friends. He loved fishing, hunting, playing cards and was a member of Osceola Grange, Harrington. He is survived by his son, Clynton W. Grant Jr. and his fiancee, Georgia Ortiz, of Hazlet Township, N.J.; daughter, Kathleen Leone and her husband, Patrick Sr., of Middletown, N.J.; son, Robert Grant of Jonesport; son, Budd Paul Grant of Waterville; one sister, Louise Emerson of Columbia Falls; as well as the mothers of his children. He is also survived by several grandchildren and four nieces. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Goldie and Sylvia. A private service was held by the family. Clynton was interred at Greenwood Cemetery, Columbia Falls. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge.
