BREWER and MILLINOCKET Michael J. Andrick Sr., 62, went home to be with his Lord, Nov. 17, 2008, at a Boston hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 22, 1946, in Millinocket, the son of John and Rosalean (Creehan) Andrick. He served in the Maine Army National Guard and was very active in Little League with his sons. Mike worked for Great Northern Paper Co. for 25 years and served on the Millinocket Town Council, for several years. He was a past council chairman. He was active at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Hampden Country Club where he spent time with many special friends. Mike volunteered and was a previous board member of Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, and volunteered at Penobscot Community Homeless Health Clinic. He was a friend of the homeless and those in need. Mike never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna (Pratt) Andrick of Brewer; two sons and their wives, Michael Andrick Jr. and his wife, Val, of Bangor, and Curt Andrick and his wife, Dawn, of Warren; three brothers, John Andrick and his wife, Alberta, of Lebo, Kan., Paul Andrick and his wife, Earlene, of Millinocket, and Joseph Andrick of Lebo, Kan.; two sisters, Jeannie and her husband, Donald Tibbitts, of Millinocket, Mary and her husband, Kirk Rideout, of Rockland; five grandchildren, Andrianna “Doll Face” Ammarell-Andrick, Gabriel Ammarell-Andrick, Camden Andrick, Ryan Andrick and Nathan Andrick; his mother-in-law, Louise Hawkins of Brewer; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Charles Cey of Bangor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Margaret Murray and Patricia Caplin. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Frank Murray, celebrant. Interment will be after at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments immediately after the interment at St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall.
