GUILFORD – Flora H. Moore, 99, died Nov. 20, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born April 22, 1909, in Abbot, daughter of Silas and Bertha (Welts) Huff. She graduated from Guilford High School in 1928, Wilfred’s School of Beauty Culture in 1930 and married Robert L. Moore in 1936. She moved to Riverbend Apartments, Guilford in 1989, and was the recent holder of the Boston Post Gold Cane. Flora was predeceased by her husband in 1973. She was a lifelong member of the Pythian Sisters and was a member of Abbot Historical Society. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Huttunen of North Reading, Mass.; a grandson, Darryl Huttunen and his wife, Katherine, of Windham, N.H.; and granddaughters, Kristina and Laura Huttunen. Thank you to a special nephew, Rod Moore of Farmington. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Pittsfield Village Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating.
