COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho – Louise C. Findlen-Soucy-Gizzi, 91, died Nov. 13, 2008, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of George P. Findlen and Helena (Cassidy) Findlen. Louise was a wonderful loving mother born and raised in Fort Fairfield, who was devoted in raising her four children. She courageously took them from Maine to California so they would have the most opportunity life could offer. In loving memory from her children. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Soucy-Cooper of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Joyce Soucy-Donnelly of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Pamela Soucy-Healy of Chico, Calif., and Fred Soucy of Truckee, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Findlen; sisters, Marion Findlen-Duessing and Margaret Findlen-Amsden; and former husband, Albert Soucy. She was predeceased by parents; second husband, Sib Gizzi; and six brothers. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 Haycraft, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A gathering will be held immediately after.
