MERRILL – Madelyn Pinard, 83, died Nov. 25, 2008, in Houlton. She was born July 16, 1925, in Linneus, the daughter of Walter and Mamie (Malone) Lake. Madelyn enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her precious granddaughter, Jessica. She loved baking cookies, Christmas time and trick or treating with Jessica. In her younger years she enjoyed hunting and fishing. She worked in nursing homes and as a traveling nurse for many years, and also worked in potato fields and houses for various family members. She attended school in New Limerick. She is survived by one daughter, Linda and her husband, James Nye, of Merrill; six grandchildren, James, Jerri Lynn, Troy, Travis, Matthew and Jessica; and eight great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Gavin, Cameron, Hannah, Emma, Makayla Ann, Sierra and Rayen. She was predeceased by her parents; two sons, Roy and Ricky; and five siblings. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 4 p.m. with Pastor Sterling Lawrence officiating. Interment will be at New Limerick Cemetery.
