BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – Cynthia Lee Tracy, 62, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Renhard G. and Julia Sand. Cynthia was one of the charter members of Hartford Full Gospel Church, that her father founded and pastored in Hartford, Conn., in 1953, and she lived in Rockville, Conn., where her father also pastored Rockville Full Gospel Church, Ellington Avenue. She attended Mount Royal College and Academy, Baltimore and Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, R.I. She lived in Plainville, Conn., before moving to Arizona. She enjoyed singing and playing her accordion in church and was a great prayer warrior, who always had a word of encouragement to share with others. Her sense of humor and unending willpower kept her going even through her illness, and she kept the faith. She was predeceased by her parents, Pastor Renhard and Julia Sand. She leaves her fiance, the Rev. Leon Griffin; her very special and loving friend, Richard Tracy; along with many other friends and family members. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at Hartford Full Gospel Church, 77 Hungerford St., Hartford, Conn. In lieu of flowers, a monetary gift may be sent to the church and will be given toward hospital and funeral expenses.
