ST. JOHN PLANTATION – Lucienne (Marquis) Pelletier, 96, died Dec. 15, 2008, at High View Manor Nursing Home, Madawaska. She was born June 26, 1912, at Baker Brook, New Brunswick, the daughter of Benoit and Bertha (Michaud) Marquis. She is survived by her only son, Donald “Joel” Pelletier of Cromwell, Conn.; one brother, Veance Marquis and his wife, Betty, of Orchard Park, N.Y.; and six sisters, Sister Carmen Marquis, SSM, of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, Hermance (Marquis) Ouellette of St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, Sister Corinne Marquis, LSJ, of Lima, Peru, Claire (Marquis) Sirois of Richmond, Pierrette (Marquis) Sirois of Madawaska and Gaetone (Marquis) Albert of Baker Brook, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien Pelletier, March 20, 1980; a sister, Jeannette (Marquis) Thibeault; and five brothers, Rodrick, Raoul, Leandre, Rino and Clemant Marquis. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Soldier Pond. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of departure for the church at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Burial will be May 12, 2009, at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
