PITTSFIELD – Susan C. Drummond, 66, died Dec. 22, 2008, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1942, in Chicago, the daughter of Martin A. and Beryl H. (Krutckoff) Skivington. Susan worked for 30 years in New York City as an accountant for Metropolitan Museum of Art and International Rescue Committee and Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc. After moving to Maine, Susan became a foster parent until her mother moved to Maine with her requiring Susan’s care. As a non-traditional student, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine at Augusta, Bangor Campus, where she was also a lead mentor in the Cornerstone Program. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Pittsfield, Pittsfield Arts Club and an active member of Humane Society of America. Surviving are an aunt and uncle, Jolena and Gene Randolph of Memphis, Tenn.; and cousins, Rex, Chris and Adam Randolph. She was predeceased by her mother, in May 2008. Susan leaves behind many friends whom she cared for and loved deeply. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at First Congregational Church, Pittsfield.
