SANGERVILLE – Fairfield B. “Mickey” Wells, 71, died Dec. 26, 2008, surrounded by his family at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville, after a short illness. He was born March 13, 1937, in Sherman, son of George and Sarah (Lane) Wells. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Germany after World War II. He worked as a trucker for all of his life and for the past eight years he had been working for Boothbay Regional Refuge and Disposal Facility. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Angela (Carlow) Wells of Sangerville; five sons, Thomas Wells and his wife, Kathy, of Benton, Randy Spaulding of Dover-Foxcroft, Darrell Spaulding and his wife, Shannon, of Sangerville, Cory Wells and his wife, Jennifer, of Newnan and Tony Wells and his wife, Michelle, of Oxford; two daughters, Tina Golden and her husband, Gary, of Monson and Kathy LaBelle and her husband, Mike, of Bradford; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Frankie Wells in 1986. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford.
