BENSALEM, Pa. – John E. Winslow, 78, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, surrounded by members of his loving family, at Frankford Bucks Hospital. He was born in Brewer. Mr. Winslow was a resident of Levittown, Pa., for 50 years before moving to Bensalem, Pa., four years ago. He was employed with RCA, Hightstown, N.J., for more than 25 years, until retiring in 1991. Mr. Winslow loved spending time at his mountain home, his shore home and on his computer. Mostly he enjoyed being with his family. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, who enjoyed watching the games on TV. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Blanche Winslow; and his brothers, Kenneth, Clarence, Frederick, Arthur and Ernest. Mr. Winslow is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marion L. (Blair) Winslow. He was the beloved father of Karen and her husband, Charles Sheehan, of Elkins Park, Pa., Cheryl and her husband, Joe Finan, of Pineville, Pa., and Diane and her husband, Bob Hoffman, of Levittown, Pa. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Timothy, Janelle, Joe, Courtney, Ashlee and Andrew; his brother, Carl Winslow; his sister, Lillian Winchester, both of Maine; and his dog, Nipper. Services will be held privately.
