VERONA ISLAND – Isabelle Harris Burroughs died Jan. 12, 2009, in Belfast. She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Russell, Mass. She lived most of her life in the Bucksport area and for the last 69 years at East Side Drive on Verona Island, a place she loved and always wanted to be. Isabelle was predeceased by her two husbands, George Byard Harris and Rex Burroughs. She leaves behind a large extended family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, friends and neighbors. She was the dynamic center of her family whom she loved and was loved greatly in return. A memorial service is planned for the springtime, her favorite time of year.
