VAN BUREN – Ruby C. Madore, 90, died Jan. 23, 2009, at a Caribou hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Cyr Plantation, the daughter of John B. and Genevieve (Ouellette) Cormier. Ruby is survived by four sons, Carroll Madore and his wife, Dorothy, of Limerick, Kenneth Madore and his wife, Marlene, of Amherst, N.H., Michael Madore and his friend, Heather, of Waldoboro and Gene Madore and his wife, Linda, of Van Buren; four daughters, Leola Lilly and her husband, Richard, of Portland, Charlene Dennison of Windham, Carol Tardif and her husband, James, of Penobscot and Gale Madore and her partner, Cory Cunningham, of Liberty; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo A. Madore in 1997; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Madore; a son-in-law, Leo Dennison; her brother, Percy Cormier; and by her sister, Lilly Levesque. Ruby was a kind and gracious lady who will be fondly missed by her family, friends and all whom she met. Relatives and friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
