BANGOR – Michael F. Beckwith, 40, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1968, in New Britain, Conn. Michael “Mike” grew up and attended school in the Greater Bangor area. He was in roofing and construction for more than 20 years, and took great pride in his work and was highly regarded by his peers. He was very proud of and deeply adored his children. At family gatherings, his great-nieces and great-nephews loved to tire out their “Uncle Mike.” He loved being outdoors, enjoying time with his dogs. He is survived by his parents, Douglas A. and Grace E. (Stillings) Beckwith of Levant; his beloved wife and soul mate, Mary (Bagg) Beckwith of Bangor; his children, Amanda Beckwith, Michael and Jordan Smith, all of Bangor; his siblings, Brad Snow of New York, Wendy Trojano and Suzette Haskins of Levant; one niece, three nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews.
