BAR HARBOR and PALM BEACH SHORES, Fla. – Nancy (Morrison) Hamor, 79, died unexpectedly Jan. 26, 2009, at Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1929, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Dr. Charles C. Morrison Jr. and Hazel (Allen) Morrison. She graduated from Bar Harbor High School and attended Nasson College, Springvale. She married Hoyt P. Hamor, in Bar Harbor, in 1950. They owned and operated three motels in the Bar Harbor area, including WonderView Motor Lodge for 21 years. Nancy will be fondly remembered for her positive attitude; passion for golf, gardening, boating and birds; good times spent with family and friends; and her love of and devotion to her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Hoyt of Bar Harbor and Palm Beach Shores, Fla.; her daughter, Katherine of South Portland; her daughter, Barbara (Hamor) Stoneman and son-in-law, Larry Stoneman and grandsons, Tanner and Connor Stoneman, of North Palm Beach, Fla.; her twin sister, Patricia M. McQuinn of Wells; her sister, Marian Hawkinson of Atlanta; her sister-in-law, Helen H. Seabury of Longmeadow, Mass.; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Julia; her son, Charles; her brother, Charles Morrison III; and her sisters, Charlotte (Morrison) Ballard and Barbara (Morrison) Shepard.
