WAITE and TOWNSHIP 21 – Orland N. Dwelley, 70, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. Orland was born Dec. 7, 1938, in Princeton, son of the late Arnold and Elizabeth (Neale) Dwelley. Through his life, he worked as a logger and was president of Orland Dwelley & Son Inc. Orland was a member of Lewy’s Island Lodge No. 138 AF & AM, Princeton, and Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor. He also was a member of Princeton Rod & Gun Club and Professional Loggers Council. Orland enjoyed working in the outdoors, boating, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife, Jeanette; two children, Russell Dwelley and his companion, Wendy Ramsdell, of Waite and Beth Dwelley of Waite; two grandchildren, Chad Dwelley and his fiancee, Katie, of Bangor and Raynel Dwelley of Machias; his great-grandchild, Reagan; an aunt, Florence Rioux of Princeton; uncle, Richard Neale and his wife, Marjorie, of Ellsworth; many cousins and dear friends; and his special canine companion, Bubba. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Waite-Talmadge Cemetery.
