NEWBURGH – Freda A. Marcho O’Donald, 73, passed away Jan. 31, 2009, at her home in Newburgh. She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Etna, the daughter of the late Lloyd W. Sr. and Annie (Otis) Marcho. Freda graduated from Carmel High School and attended the University of Maine. She taught grammar school in Dixmont, Carmel and Newburgh, early in her life. Freda worked many years at Penobscot Superior Court until 1985. Freda enjoyed camping, fishing and being at Popham Beach in the summers, and for the past 22 years was very active with the Bill W.’s group. Freda is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, David A. O’Donald; children, Cindi and Joseph Burke, Susie and Joseph Souza, Rick and Renee O’Donald, Sarah and Matt Dingle, and Tim and Nyree O’Donald; son-in-law, Dana Fogg; grandchildren, Karen Patterson, J.D. Burke, Laurie Accetta, Jaime Brisco, Caleb and Joshua O’Donald, Max Dingle, Justin Brown, Samantha Landry, Scott, David and Megan O’Donald; and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Deanna Marcho; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mickey and Marie Hartsgrove. She was predeceased by her daughter, Valerie Fogg; a sister, Sally Johnson; and a brother, Lloyd Marcho Jr. Family and friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, with the Rev.
