OLD TOWN – Francis A. Taylor, 60, passed away Feb. 2, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, at his home. He was born Aug. 8, 1948, the son of Francis and Ellen (Jones) Taylor. Francis lived his whole life in Old Town and actually passed away in the same house he grew up in. He was also a proud member of Resurrection Parish. Francis is survived by his loving wife, Amy Taylor; his three children, Richard Taylor, Tammy Taylor, and Linda Savoy and her husband, Sean; his four stepchildren, James Pelletier, Heidi Binimou and her husband, Yao, Joseph Pelletier and his wife, Holly, and Shane Pelletier; his four grandchildren, Rachel, Fred, Sean and Sarahlyn; and his 19 stepgrandchildren, James, Christopher, Devon, Geoffrey, Michael, Desiree, Isaiah, Irene, Genevive, Dominique, Joseph, Cameron, Brett, Brady, Ashlyn, Felicity, Bryona, Shane Jr. and Ronnie. He is also survived by one great-grandchild who is still on the way, along with his sister, Rose Ellen Taylor; and niece Michelle. Francis will also be missed by his close friends, Barry Kennedy, Starr Oswald, Frank Jack and Wayne Sibley. Francis was predeceased by his parents. The family expresses their deepest thanks to Bob and Jean Marquis, and the entire Marquis Heating Oil family, along with special thanks to Community Health and Counseling for all their compassion and their care given to Francis and his family. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Parish, 429 Main St., Old Town, with Father Thomas Farley officiating. A luncheon will be immediately after at the parish hall.
