CARIBOU – Barbara J. Morin, 60, passed away Feb. 16, 2009, in Caribou, after a long illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Stockholm, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Raymond) Bossie. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and was employed at several area businesses, including First Technology, Caribou. Although Barbara never had children of her own, she dearly loved and spoiled her nieces and nephews and will forever be “Aunt Bubbie” to them. Barbara loved family gatherings and was an amazing cook. She spent countless hours with family and friends visiting and playing games. She was very talented and enjoyed such things as knitting, quilting and refinishing furniture, as well as many other interests. Barb was a wonderful caregiver to her parents for several years and her home was always open to family and friends alike. She was always the keeper of the family archives maintaining close contact with extended family members. If we needed to know how a cousin or other relative was doing, all we had to do was ask Barb and she’d bring us up to date. She was a lifelong member and volunteer of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Stockholm. She was predeceased by her parents; and one brother, Danny Bossie, in 1994. She is survived by her husband, Galen “Bill” Morin of 40 years; two sisters, Dolores and her husband, Dale Cote, and Julie and John Cook, all of Caribou; one brother, Jim and his wife, Debi Bossie, of Connecticut; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all whose hearts and lives she touched. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Aaron Damboise officiating in a Mass of Christian burial. Spring interment will take place at New Holy Rosary Cemetery. For online register, please go to www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
