VEAZIE – J. Keith “Papa” and “Grampy” Rouse, 74, died Feb. 20, 2009, at his residence after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 11, 1934, in Hodgdon, the son of Earle J. and Weltha O. (Stockford) Rouse. Keith graduated from Hodgdon High School. He worked in law enforcement throughout his life. Keith loved riding his little red motor scooter. He will be dearly missed by his dogs and most faithful companions, Duffy and Rusty. Keith was a member of Mechanics Lodge AF & AM No. 66 of Orono and Anah Shrine. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of many years, Sandra; three sons, Kevin of Brewer, Kendall of Brewer and Stacy of Bridgewater, Mass.; three daughters, Katrina of Levant, Kimberly of Veazie and Misty of Masardis; a sister, Marie McGlauflin of Bangor; a sister-in-law, Helen Henderson of Milo; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Flint of Portage Lake, Robert Flint Jr. of Portage and Charles Flint of Presque Isle; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, George McGlauflin. Relatives and friends are invited to call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, and join the family 2 p.m. for a processional to Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
