HAMPDEN – Maria T. Perez passed away Feb. 22, 2009, at home. She was born May 29, 1964, in Philadelphia. In 1998, she graduated with high distinction as a medical assistant from Aquinas College, Milton, Mass. She loved reading, writing and listening to music in her spare time. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Daniel J. Perez, 50, who loved her deeply and was always by her side. She is also survived by two daughters, Christina M. Perez, 20, and Nina R. Perez, 19, who both lived at home with her and their father while attending college; her mother, Amy Cope of Levittown, Pa.; bothers and a sister, Carl, Michael and Bobby, Diana, John and Mark. She was a wonderful wife and mother and cared deeply for her family. Maria also enjoyed her two cats, Roxy and Big Kitty. She is going to be deeply missed by her family and friends who love her very much. A funeral service for Maria will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
