PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Robert L. “Bob” Bilotta passed away Feb. 23, 2009. Bob was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Lawrence, Mass. He worked many years in the Bangor area as a building construction salesman, then moved to the Daytona Beach, Fla., area where he was a resident and businessman for more than 30 years. He and his wife were the owners and operators of Bilotta’s Happy Holiday Kennel, Port Orange, Fla. Bob was a devoted family man who thoroughly enjoyed his summers at their camp on Branch Lake, Ellsworth. He was an avid outdoor sportsman with a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Port Orange, Fla., and St. Andrews Grand Lodge of Maine AF & AM, Bangor. He is survived by his wife, Helen; four sons, Robert of Glenburn, Raymond of Port Orange, Fla., Tony of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Peter of Holly Hill, Fla.; one daughter, Deborah Tapley of Port Orange, Fla.; one sister, Mary Searway of Bangor; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
