VAN BUREN and BRISTOL, Conn. – Jeannine L. Gauvin, 60, died unexpectedly Feb. 25, 2009, at a Caribou hospital. She was born May 20, 1948, in Van Buren, the daughter of Augustin and Rita (Caron) Cormier. She was educated in local schools and worked as a nurse’s aide at Borderview Nursing Home, Van Buren, for several years, as well as in other occupations in Connecticut. At the time of her death, she and her husband were residents of Bristol, Conn. Jeannine is survived by her husband, Roger Gauvin of Bristol, Conn.; three sons, Dale Gauvin and his wife, Dina, of Avon, Conn., Jason Gauvin of Bristol, Conn., and Allen Gauvin and his wife, Tonya, of Wolcott, Conn.; one grandson, Tristan Gauvin of Avon, Conn.; two sisters, Bernadette Wentworth of Colchester, Conn., and Jeannette Corriveau of Hartford, Conn.; and three brothers, Philip Cormier of Kentucky, David Cormier and Edwin Cormier, both of New Mexico. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
