EASTON – Robert “Bob” K. Stickney, 77, lifelong resident of Easton, died peacefully March 2, 2009, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bob was the son of Frank and Jean (Harvey) Stickney of Easton. He was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Argyle, New Brunswick. Bob graduated from Easton High School in 1949. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bob was a well known and loved member of the community. He worked at Vahlsings and then retired as head electrician at McCain Foods, Easton. He also worked many side jobs wiring local homes for families in the area. Bob will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to all. He truly enjoyed music and will be missed by all his friends at Camper’s Paradise, Westfield. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Evelyn; his son, Mike and partner, Thom, of Surry; and four special nieces, Debby, Heidi, Hillary and Haley. He is also survived by his mother, Jean of Easton; sisters, Audrey Lawrence of Mars Hill and Glenda Hersey of Levant; and a brother, George of Easton. Bob will also be missed by many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Frank; and sister, Mary Sharpe. His family wishes to thank all the dedicated staff at Presque Isle Nursing Home and The Aroostook Medical Center. Their caring and comforting actions and words will always be appreciated. Family and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating.
