MACHIAS – Theresa A. Rogers, 74, passed away peacefully March 8, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1934, the daughter of Norman and Agnes Davis. In her younger days, she worked in the fish factories and raking blueberries. She also worked at Maine Land Motel and for Maine Wild Blueberry Co. She was a very special and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to all. She also loved spending time with all her family around her. She enjoyed going to the dances, listening to her favorite bands, loved to yard sale and watching her soaps. She loved spending time with her niece, who was like a daughter, Terry Holland. She is survived by her daughters, Leitha and husband, Scott Gehrand, of Portland, Ore., Darlene Rogers of Mapleton, Debbie and husband, Randy Perry, of Columbia, Melody and her companion, Dave Gardner, of Columbia and April and husband, Dan Rogers, of Connecticut; and two sons, Paul of Bangor and Carlton of Arizona. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren that she thought the world of; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Loraine Betts; a brother, Gifford Davis; and a grandson, Randy Perry Jr. She will be sadly missed by her special Aunt Greta and Uncle Willard Carver; and all her friends at Valley View Apartments, Machias. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Life Spring Chapel, East Machias, with Pastor Doug Watermolen officiating. Graveside services will be held later in the spring at West Kennebec Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations in her memory may do so to Debbie Perry, P.O.
