WADE – Ellen M. Tarbox, 78, died March 11, 2009, in Houlton, after many years of declining health related to diabetes. She was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of the late Howard and Velma (Harmon) Donovan. Ellen was raised in Limestone by her grandparents, Herman and Hattie (Cray) Butler. She married Herbert Tarbox, June 15, 1950, and he predeceased her in 1978. She is survived by her eight children, Roger H. Tarbox and his wife, Joanne, of Hannacroix, N.Y., Betty S. Long and her husband, Leo, of Woodland, Michael A. Tarbox and his wife, Lynn, and Beverly A. White, all of Washburn, Craig L. Tarbox and his wife, Joyce, of Hannacroix, N.Y., Sharon M. McPherson and her husband, Vincent, of Perham, Richard R. Tarbox and friend, Billie Jo, of Washburn, and Rodney H. Tarbox and friend, Roberta, of Wade; four brothers, Clifford Condon and his wife, Linda, of Easton, Claude Condon and his wife, Delia, of Fort Fairfield, Roger Condon and his wife, Jackie, of Easton, and Ricky Condon of California; three sisters, Vera Driscoll of Easton, Barbara Mersereau of Enfield, Conn., and Brenda Bell of Old Town; 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at First Baptist Church of Woodland with the Rev. Ron Rosser and the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. After the service the family invites all to a time of fellowship and refreshment in the church dining area. Interment will be at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
